Welcome to the Sandburg High School OLC (Outdoor Learning Center) and COTTAGE (Collaborative Outdoor Teaching with Technological Advancements and Green Education). The building will be constructed from green or environmentally friendly materials.  Hopefully, the building alone will make students and the community think about what is possible and what could be done with future construction basics.  The project will come in phases.  With each phase of the development of the COTTAGE, students will take more and more ownership.  They will see their visions come to life.  The construction and future activities will enable students to see more than just science in action. Science is the foundation for the center, but other subjects are necessary to make the learning better rounded and altruistic.  As the center continues to expand, the skills needed to make connections in their everyday classes and life will too.
